The Homestead Bed and Breakfast is truly a very special place. Our large brick farmhouse was built in 1851. We have been welcoming guests into our home and five guestrooms since 1984. We are one of the first bed and breakfasts established in Washtenaw County. Our home, a relaxed mix of country and comfort, is conveniently close to both Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, and is only 40 minutes from Detroit and Toledo. We have woods, valleys and fields on our farm, with access to 100 acres of family owned land. The wildflowers are spectacular in the spring and early summer, and deer are often seen in the fields and yard. Great location for families or individuals visiting the area for U of M Commencement, festivals and events in and around Ann Arbor( Celtic Festival, Ann Arbor Film Festival, Ann Arbor Folk Festival, Ann Arbor Art Fair, Festifools, Ann Arbor Summerfest, Saline Summerfest, Ann Arbor Antiques Market, Riverfolk Festival, Saline Craft Shows), to name a few. Michigan International Speedway is 30 minutes away to our west. Chelsea is 20 minutes away home of The Purple Rose Theatre, The Common Grill and the Jiffy Mix factory. Visit us in the fall for a respite after watching the U of M Wolverines at "The Big House". The Homestead is a friendly personal place for meetings or retreats, getaway weekends or for business travelers. Come prepared to relax, feel at home and be welcomed as the friend that you will become!
