University of Michigan - Sindecuse Museum of Dentistry

The Sindecuse Museum of Dentistry’s collection contains more than 18,000 artifacts dating back to the late 1700s. Visit the museum to view typical dentists’ offices from the pre-electric era to the 1940s, learn about the pioneering women who helped shape the field of dentistry, and celebrate a century of progress in the dental hygiene profession. Other exhibits include X-rays in dentistry, toothpaste and powders, dentistry’s patron Saint Apollonia and more. Hours are 8 am to 6 pm M-F. Closed Saturday, Sunday and major holidays. Free admission.
