The Whaley Historic House Museum, former home of Robert J. Whaley and his family, now stands as a Guilded Age museum and an important piece of Flint history. The house contains many pieces once owned by the Whaley family and other pieces that illustrate a traditional Victorian-style home. Robert Whaley gained fame in Flint as the Citizen's Bank President who gave Billy Durant the $2000 loan that ultimately formulated General Motors.
