The four-day event attracts camera collectors, historians and photographers from around the country and Canada. The conference begins 6 p.m. Thursday, October 22nd with the opening reception of "Washtenaw through the Lens", which features work by the Ann Arbor Women Artists.
Friday’s events (10 a.m. -8 p.m.) include visiting Museum on Main Street and a tour of the Argus Ii Building. Friday’s dinner will be held at the Argus Museum followed by a presentation given by well-respected photographer and historian, Marty Magid.
Saturday’s presentations begin at 10 a.m. and lunch with former Argus employees is scheduled for 1 p.m. Evening festivities are being held at the Michigan Military Technological and Historical Museum and include an exhibit opening, dinner, the presentation, “Argus Eyes for Victory – WWII at the Argus Factory in Ann Arbor”, awards and an auction.
Sunday is dedicated to the Vintage Argus Roadshow & Swamp Meet, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., being held at the Argus Museum. Everyone is invited to bring your Argus camera, or other Argus product, for a free appraisal by Argus experts from around the Country and Canada!
All events are open to the public and all, except the banquet, are free!
