Belle Isle Park - Stewardship Saturdays

2 Inselruhe,
Detroit, MI 48206

Join the DNR and Belle Isle Conservancy for Stewardship Saturday. Our April project will focus on searching for and pulling patches of invasive, non-native garlic mustard and other weeds. We will do some walking off trails, so sturdy footwear is important. The woods may be wet so waterproof boots are a good idea if you have them. Meet on Central Avenue, just east of Portage Way. Volunteers are asked to register by using the volunteer registration form or via email [email protected]. Additional information and the Calendar of Volunteer Stewardship Workdays is available via the DNR website For more information about invasive species please visit

A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry into Michigan state parks. To make a camping reservation, visit or call 1-800-447-2757.
