Featuring documentary, narrative, and short film screenings, as well as filmmaker Q&As, the second annual Nevertheless Film Festival is returning to elevate the work of women filmmakers, as every film in the program has at least 50% women filmmakers in leadership positions. The Festival does not define filmmaker as meaning only “director” — in order to qualify, filmmakers can be producers, editors, screenwriters, cinematographers, production designers, sound mixers, and composers/music supervisors.
Called “the first of its kind,” this four day celebration of women in film was set to take place in vibrant Ann Arbor, MI, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival will be a virtual event accessible across the USA this year! Nevertheless amplifies the voices of women filmmakers, inspires audiences of all ages, and engages the community in conversation about the power of equal representation behind the camera.
See you July 9-12!
Single film screenings $6; all access passes $29.
