North American Hill Sheep Show

3 Day UK-Style Hill sheep show for shepherds, farmers, makers, doers and dreamers. The show is to promote and pay tribute to hill breeds, and the unpretentious, yet intricate, culture that comes along with them, in an attempt to capture all of the romanticism and charm with everyday shepherds and sheep enthusiasts. 

Free addmission for all. Event will feature:

• A downtown shop window decoration contest- judged by the public!
• Sheepdogs in the baseball field
• Ladies Afternoon Tea Time
• Farm-To-Table Dinner under a tent in Central Park
• Traditional countryside competitions (Welly Wanging, Sheaf Tossing, Wood Splitting & Stacking etc.)
• Sheep Baa Beer Tent
• Sheep shearing demonstrations
• Parade on Sunday afternoon with sheep down Cedar St.
• The Well-Read Shepherds Society book club meeting will take place at Paper Mill Books
• A plethora of sheep breeds will be at the fairgrounds building
• Craft vendors and presentations in the Little Bear West Arena, along with raffle, silent auction and merchandise sales 
• Dancing and live music at the bandshell (The Knockabouts, a traditional Celtic band from Marquette)
• Various high-profile UK personalities are flown over to judge the sheep and present- many have been on BBC television shows, are internationally acclaimed photographers, etc.
