Prohibition History Hike Along the Detroit Riverfront

Outdoor Adventure Center
1801 Atwater Street,
Detroit, MI 48207

Before St. Patrick's Day arrives, join us as we hike down the river front and learn the role prohibition, the Detroit RiverĀ and the proximity to Canada had on setting the stage for a hotbed of local bootlegging activity. Discover the role prohibition had on creating a "South Detroit" known as Walkerville and how some of the crafty breweries survived prohibition enforcement in Detroit through product diversification or other means.

We recommend joining the fun at the start time. We may not be able to accommodate those who arrive more than 15 minutes into the activity.

Included with the price of Outdoor Adventure Center admission.
