Rediscover Your Childhood at Camp Kitigin
Remember what summer camp was like as a kid--sun, fun, campfire sing-alongs, night hikes, survival skits, confidence-building exercises, new friends and lifelong memories. Summer camp is not just for the kids anymore. With the partnership between Michigan Recreation & Park Association and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, adults 21 and older can also get in on the fun at a unique three-day summer camp just for adults.
It's summer camp season, and not just for the kids, but adults, too. The Michigan Recreation and Park Association and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources invite adults to feel like kids again at "Camp Kitigin."
Camp Kitigin is a screen-free event, meaning no phones, tablets or Wi-Fi (with exceptions for emergencies and after-dinner family check-ins). Participants will rediscover childlike play and team interaction with activities like high ropes, night hikes, zip lining, fishing, swimming, canoeing, disc golf and more.
This adult-only camp is designed to help participants de-stress with a great summer experience so that they can return to daily life with a sense of rejuvenation and overall well-being. But, Camp Kitigin is more than just a weekend at camp, it's a chance to reconnect with your inner child, get back in touch with nature, create memories and make new friends.
The cost for this three-day, adventure-filled weekend includes lodging, meals, activities, crafts and a Camp Kitigin participant pack. Proceeds will be donated to the Michigan Recreation and Park Association to help fund recreation programs throughout Michigan.
