Torch Lake Cottage
Torch Lake has been named the third most beautiful lake in the world by National Geographic. The water is so crystal clear that you can see the sandy bottom all the way out to the drop off. Torch is the largest lake in Michigan (19 miles long and about two miles wide) and is part of a chain of lakes which allows boating all the way from Elk Rapids to Bellaire. This wonderful two bedroom getaway cottage can comfortably sleep six and is located near Elk Rapids and Rapid City in Northwest Michigan. Two bedrooms each with full queen beds, living room with queen sofa bed, a full and half bathrooms, full well supplied kitchen, tv/vcr, screened porch, firepit, grill, outdoor furniture, and dock. Enjoy a fifteen minute leisurely walk to the small and charming town of Alden. It features one of Torch Lake's four public boat ramps, a variety of restaurants from casual to fine cuisine, art galleries, plenty of shops, a playground, a public tennis court, and a library. With plenty of woods and fields, this is an ideal area for walking, hiking, and biking. Popular tourist destinations such as Traverse City, Charlevoix, the Leelanau Peninsula, and Petoskey are all within an hour's reach.
