Holland Ponds is a 200-acre park located on Ryan Road that backs up to Chief Gene Shepard Park and Yates Cider Mill. Featuring multiple ponds and walking trails, it is the perfect place to experience nature up close. This area is known for its thriving wildlife and plant communities, and is the home to many species of birds, including the beautiful Blue Heron.

Would have loved to see some!
Finally went over to see this on Rochester Road. Very limited parking and NO birds. It appears that they have abandoned the area and moved on.

Blue Heron nests can been seen up in the trees
I noticed the great blue heron rookery for the first time this year. There were about eight nests in the huge tree in the middle of the wetlands. So the nests are noticable when driving on Ryan. Just...

Nice nature walk area
I have walked in this area twice now. once in the evening with a scout troop and once in the day with my family. There are many trails that wind all around the rookery.
