Modern Craft Winery - Harrisville

250 S US-23,
Harrisville, MI 48740
Modern Craft is a small limited liability corporation headquartered in Arenac County's City of Au Gres, where CEO Tom Nixon grew up and develops recipes for the company's 24 approachable, adventurous, affordable fruit and varietal wines. Modern Craft produces nearly five thousand gallons of wine annually for retail sales. The wine is crafted from only quality fruit and exotic natural flavors that it mixes in both traditional and modern wine-making methods. Unlike traditional wines, Modern Craft is uniquely mastered in vats at its Au Gres location where test tubes of next year's fruit contenders are tested and tasted before adding the dazzling flavor to the company's superior collection of fruit-infused wines. Modern Craft production facilities are located in Au Gres directly adjacent to its 1,500 square foot eclectic tasting room. Its 2,800-square foot production facility accommodates the production of more than 10-thousand gallons of wine annually, which is sold at all three of its tasting rooms ( Au Gres, Harrisville and West Branch) and distributed throughout the State of Michigan. The winery also offers direct shipping through its website: to Michigan, 20 other continental states, and the District of Columbia. Modern Craft was first established in 2011 by two friends, and purchased in 2014 by one of the original partners, Tom Nixon, and his wife, Melissa Lee-Nixon.
