North Gemini Lake State Forest Campground
This rustic campground is on Gemini Lake, a 120-acre lake in northwest Schoolcraft County. The lake offers opportunities for fishing and paddling. The campground is split into two loops: sites #10-17 are on the first loop when you enter, and sites #1-9 are on the second loop. Some of the campsites offer direct water access, and a boat launch centrally located in the campground provides an opportunity to launch a kayak or canoe. The campground is about five miles from Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.
There are 17 sites for tent and small trailer use. The loop containing sites #10-17 is closed in the fall, typically during late September or early October. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay. Amenities include vault toilets and potable water from a hand-pump well. The campground is located 20 miles northeast of Shingleton via H-15, H-58 and Twin Lake Truck Trail. Sites available on a first-come, first-serve basis. No reservations.
