Pinconning Cheese is the "Cheese Capital of Michigan" due to its famous cheeses. They offer over 100 flavors and styles of cheeses, which will make you cheese lovers feel like you are in heaven. Along with their amazing assortment of cheeses they sell fish, homemade Amish pasta, mustards, fudge, Michigan maple syrup, jellies, jams and sauces to name a few. Located in the heart of downtown West Branch, Tipsy Bear Bistro offers a cozy, casual atmosphere serving unique and delicious food prepared by their Award Winning Chef, Fred Garcia, and their Sous Chef, Brandon Bentley. Chef Fred and his wife Mary purchased the landmark building formerly known as Rau Tavern in the spring of 2015 and proceeded to create a little, hidden gem, offering culinary delights sure to please everybody's palate, from Pan Seared Scallops and Ahi Tuna to Mexican, American, Greek, Friday Night Perch dinners at 2/$20 and everything in between. Dinner on Charity Island at the Lightkeeper's home is a treat. The experience begins when you arrive at the East Tawas State dock where you will board the "Shirley Ann" for the one hour trip to Charity Island. Upon arriving, guests receive a lively 30 minute history presentation before taking the seven minute walk through the woods to the lightkeeper's home. A perfect Michigan dinner is served at the lightkeeper's house along with breathtaking views of Saginaw Bay. Tours of the house are given after dinner and then you head back to the mainland to catch the sunset and enjoy your dessert. Dinner Cruise departures are also available from Caseville, MI.

Stoney Acres Winery is a small boutique winery located on the Sunrise Side Wine & Hops Trail. They offer a wide variety of amazing wines that can be sampled in their tasting room along with delicious hand-dipped gourmet wine truffles made with Stoney Acres Wines and unique Chocolate Barks made with real chocolate. The winery also loves to encourage beginning brewers and vintners to make their own beer and wine. On site you can buy supplies to help you begin.

The Alpena Farmers' Market is located behind City Hall in downtown Alpena. Every Wednesday and Saturday morning in the summer through late October, the market is filled with vibrant colors from fresh produce, flowers, plants, baked goods, herbs, maple syrup, honey, arts and crafts. Vendors come from Alpena, Alcona, Montmorency, Presque Isle and Oscoda counties to bring the very best Michigan produce and products they have to offer. Throughout the year they have special events like Kids Day, Rummage Sale and Antique Day which are fun for all.

Knaebe's is a cozy mom and pop apple farm and cider mill filled with delicious fresh apple trees. Along with the freshest apples in Northeast Michigan they have unpasteurized cider, honey, local maple syrup, spicy apple butter, jams and jellies. Ma's Kitchen has yummy warm bakery items such as apple pies, apple crisp, donuts, muffins and cookies. This is a great place to stop for the family, school tours, or senior tours as it is fun for all.

The Hack-Ma-Tack Inn has been part of the history of Mullett Lake since 1894. They take pride in preparing wholesome, home cooked quality foods for all their diners.
