Left Foot Charley is the regions first Urban winery in the center of the historic Northern Michigan Asylum now known as The Village Traverse Commons. Owner/winemaker Bryan Ulbrich has spent the last decade feeding an obsession around Northern Michigan's fantastic white wines. In that time he has crafted some of the most acclaimed wines East of that other Left Coast - you know they call it Cali-something- they grow great avocados there. Anyway...in 2004, he helped rejuvenate a friend's struggling Riesling vineyard and created 200 cases of his first wine under the LFC label. Left Foot Charley = Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer from Northern Michigan's finest vineyards. We are working with the area's most significant small vineyards, ranging in size from 1-6 acres. We believe that these grapes exemplify why Northern Michigan is a world class wine growing region. Open Daily Monday-Saturday 11am-9pm and Sunday 12pm-6pm.
