28 acres. Frontage: 1,300 feet on Lake Michigan. A mix of conifer forest, cedar swamp and sand dunes. Lake Huron Tansy and other threatened or endangered species thrive here. A short trail and foot bridges allow visitors to explore without damaging the sensitive habitat. The preserve provides public access to the lake and to a shallow, marshy beach. Located on the east side of Beaver Island. Parking is off of East Side Drive southeast of Welke Airport.
