The Plank Road Museum is one museum of the Breckenridge-Wheeler Area Historical Society, Inc., incorporated in 1995 as a 501(c)3 organization. The museum is a former church building converted to house museum displays of artifacts of area history. The other museum is the Drake Memorial House which contain artifacts of the Dr. Wilke and Rhoda (Waggoner) Drake family and shows what a county doctors home was like at the turn of the century. The doctors office has been maintained with artifacts from that era, also. A research library is on site for your use. The museums are open during the summer months from May through September and on Mondays from 9am to 12pm or by reservation.
