Watervale Inn has been a family tradition since 1917. What began as a logging town in 1892 has evolved over the years into a summer resort. With over a mile of shoreline on both Lake Michigan and Lower Herring Lake and eighteen historical buildings, Watervale is a National Historic Landmark for the entire family to enjoy. Generations of families have experienced climbing Baldy, running down Boo Hoo and floating through the Outlet. Little has changed through the decades. Watervale is a place where families return year after year to reconnect and relax. Whether your ideal vacation consists of beach combing, wave jumping, hiking, biking, golfing the area courses, boating, swimming or just porch sitting, Watervale offers something for every generation. Watervale Inn is nestled between the bluffs of Arcadia and Frankfort and is ideally situated between two conservancy properties offering miles of access to our beaches and woods. In addition to our majestic lake front, Watervale has two tennis courts, a sand volley court, a playground and a basketball court. Breakfast and dinner are served daily at the Inn with a long-time emphasis on fresh, local and organic foods. The days begins with homemade pancakes and Michigan Pure Maple Syrup, farm fresh eggs and local fruits. Dinner features homemade soups, salads, breads and three entree selections and ends with the silver dessert tray.
