Newaygo County is in the heart of West Michigan and is home to 234 lakes, 356 miles of rivers and streams and over 100,000 acres of national forest. Once known for its historic logging towns it is also home to the Gerber Baby Food Company now known as Nestle Nutrition. The county is rich in natural resources such as the Muskegon River, Manistee National Forest and the North Country Trail.

Outdoor activities are what attract people to the county where you can fish, paddlehike, bike, hunt and snowshoe - just to name a few. The cities of Fremont, Grant, Newaygo and White Cloud offer rural sophistication with a wide array of diningshops and amenities to provide culture comforts while feeling like you are a million miles away from home. Barely an hour from Grand Rapids and 30 minutes to the shoreline of Lake Michigan, Newaygo County is the perfect place to take a break for a weekend, a vacation, or a change in your lifestyle.
