Pelkie is located two miles north of M-38 between Baraga and Alston in Baraga County. It was first settled by French Canadian woodsmen about 1885. First known as King's Landing, it was soon renamed Pelkie, after an early settler. Visit a 1930s locally made school bus wagon.
