Potterville is located in the mid-eastern section of Eaton County and about 12 miles from the state capital of Lansing.  It has a small business district that contains several small stores, unique shops and restaurants, along with a grain elevator situated on a still active railroad line. Fox park offers swimming, picnicking and Iimagination, a children's playground. The annual hometown "Gizzard Fest" is held the weekend before Father's Day each year and is open to everyone.
