Recreational Heritage Route US-23 meanders along Michigan's Northeastern Sunrise Coast, where getting back to the water is Pure Michigan.
The "Perch Capitol of Michigan.” Nestled along the State's most popular trout-fishing and canoeing stream, Rifle River, Au Gres is outdoor recreation, pleasing sunrises and beautiful evenings.
Get out on miles of hiking and bike trails, calm lakes and winding rivers. Catch a glimpse of migrating birds on a birding trail. Street dances, stomping grapes and art in the park, the Tawas Bay area has celebrations and events for the whole family!
Enjoy the day on the beach, rent a canoe or kayak and paddle down the mighty Au Sable, charter a fishing boat on Lake Huron or tap your wild side riding jet skis. Getting back to the water is easy in Oscoda.
