Captain Luey's has been serving "made to order" east coast style seafood since 2002. Calabash style seafood originated in the small town of Calabash, North Carolina. In eastern North Carolina, just twenty miles north of Myrtle Beach, S.C., this "seafood capitol" is located on the banks of the inland waterway. This style of seafood became famous because of both the seasoning and preparation. The freshest of seafood is lightly breaded and fried to perfection. At Captain Luey's you can enjoy either "original" or "salt and pepper" calabash recipes, or you can choose from Captain Luey's delicious broiled or chargrilled selections. And of course it can't be Calabash without hush puppies and sweet tea! Closed Monday.
