Chesaning...Michigan's Showboat City. Chesaning, famous for Showboat in July, is fun to visit all year round. Shop the Broad Street business district, walk the beautiful boulevard, look for antiques in Chesaning's new antique malls, golf at the player-friendly Twin Brooks Golf Course or dine in one of our restaurants. You can stay overnight at a bed and breakfast or in a motel or camp along the Shiawassee River in a wooded, modern campground located in Showboat Park. A year-round roster of festivals both in the village and at the nearby Saginaw County Fairgrounds means there is always something to do. Most of all, relax and enjoy the charm of Chesaning. Chesaning, the "Place of the Big Rock" (Chi-asin), was incorporated as a village in 1869.
