Dow Gardens

1809 Eastman Avenue ,
Midland, MI 48640
The 160-acre Dow Gardens is comprised of an Estate Garden, Exploration Garden, and the Whiting Forest where more than 130,000 guests visit each year. A hands-on children's garden is designed for the young and young-at-heart to discover the world of plants and how we relate. The Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation recently announced plans for a Canopy Walk & Connectivity project at Whiting Forest, which includes about 54 acres of Native Michigan forest, meadows and wetlands. The project centerpiece is a 1400-foot canopy walk (the longest in the nation), reaching five stories high.
