Fifth Third Ballpark is home to the West Michigan Whitecaps and one of the premier facilities in minor league baseball. Fifth Third Ballpark is packed with family fun and entertainment, from our loveable mascots to concourse happenings, there's something for everybody. As the Detroit Tigers Single-A affiliate, baseball fans have the chance to see future Tigers players before they make their debut in Detroit. The facility was built in 1994 and since the first season, the Whitecaps have broke minor league attendance records, captured five Midwest League titles and played host to millions of families. The ballpark is located in Comstock Park, just north of downtown Grand Rapids, with easy access to US 131. Whitecaps fans have come to expect something new and exciting everyday, from wild and wacky promotions to postgame concerts and great giveaways. Fifth Third Ballpark also prides itself on the wonderful array of concession options. Fans can munch on ballpark favorites like hot dogs, hamburgers and peanuts or go for local favorites including roasted corn on the cob. In addition to Whitecaps games, Fifth Third Ballpark has also played host to many different outside events, including concerts, car shows, a college football game, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament and the Michigan Winter Beer Festival. Fifth Third Ballpark has year-round facilities that can be utilized for meetings, parties or even weddings.
