Four Flags Area Council on Tourism

Early explorers called the Four Flags Area "Paradise on Earth." That Paradise is located 90 minutes from Chicago, 15 minutes from South Bend, Indiana and three and a half hours from Detroit. We grow nearly every kind of fruit and vegetable, (except citrus) which can be purchased in season at our farm markets or U-Picks. You can sample wine at three award winning wineries after your winery tour, then visit a round barn housing a brandy still, or have dinner overlooking a vineyard. You can visit a butterfly zoo, watch a world-class moto-cross race, fish for your supper, canoe a quiet stream, camp out or stay in a family resort. There are nearly two dozen antique stores and malls. For the history buff, we have museums, and places where history began, including our railroad station. The depot was built in 1890 in preparation for the 1893 Colombian Exposition in Chicago, and has appeared in several movies including Continental Divide and Midnight Run.
