Encompassing 2,215 acres of parkland at the headwaters of the Huron River, nine miles northwest of Pontiac, facilities at Indian Springs Metropark include the Nature Center, Environmental Discovery Center, Spray'n'Play, nature trails labeled for self-guided hikes, an 18-hole, par 71 public golf course, picnic areas with shelters, baseball diamond and volleyball court, over 8 miles of paved trail, and sledding and cross-country ski trails. The Environmental Discovery Center includes an underwater pond viewing room giving visitors a below-the-water view of pond life, including native Michigan fish and plants. The Spray'n'Play features three distinct play areas for older kids and a separate area just for toddlers. Indian Springs Metropark is an official Michigan Wildlife Viewing Area and a certified member of the Turfgrass Environmental Stewardship Program.
