Maple Lodge on Sugar Island Michigan

Look out across the water and view St. Joseph Island Lighthouse shining its beacon across the international water to you. Maple Lodge and neighboring Spruce Cabin are located on the southern tip of Sugar Island, where Lake Superior & Lake Huron meet and are available for long weekends & week-long stays for families & friends to create Sugar Island memories in the Land of Hiawatha, near the Shores of Gitchee Gummee. Built in the early 1950’s in the traditional Northwoods cabin style, Maple Lodge has five bedrooms each with double beds, two bathrooms consisting of shower, sink & toilet, kitchen with all appliances & dishes, etc. The large fireplace made with island stone in the great room is wonderful to just gaze at when sitting in the leather couches, or playing cards at the lodge dining table. It has all been decorated in vintage, yet comfortable Michigan-Style. The enclosed front porch with seating areas for reading or board games at the table is another spot to gather to socialize or relax. All bedding is supplied, so please bring towels for bathing, beach and kitchen. Nightly rates off-season available upon request. Family Friendly.
