New Era Chamber of Commerce

The little village of New Era was founded in 1872. Doctor Spaulding, owner of the Spaulding Saw Mill, came up with the name. Spaulding based the decision to name the town New Era on the many inventions of the time. The Hart-Montague Rail Trail passes just behind downtown. Lake Michigan, Stony Lake and the Silver Lake State Park are only minutes away.
