The 20+ buildings in Preston's Antique Gaslight Village have been moved to the Allen location from a 50 mile radius. Each has been carefully restored to its 1835-1925 era, and filled with shops that reflect its historical period. Strolling the landscape village allows for a nostalgic step back in time for some, a history lesson for others and a unique shopping experience for all. The 25 buildings include an 1840 school house, a 1900 general store, an 1895 summer kitchen, an 1885 doctor's office and even a 1902 Sears and Roebuck catalog house.
The 1890's restored Methodist Church can be booked for weddings, family reunions and other events, accommodating up to 80 guests.
Open Friday through Sunday 10:00 to 6:00 May through Christmas, weather permitting.
