3:30 PM - 4:00 PM / Story Time
Have you ever paused to think about what makes your heart happy? What moments fill your day with warmth and gratitude? Join us for a special **story time** in celebration of **Native American Heritage Month**, featuring *My Heart Fills With Happiness* by **Monique Gray-Smith**—a heartwarming story that reminds us to treasure life’s simple joys. We’ll then continue with *Remember* by **Joy Harjo**, a beautifully adapted picture book that encourages readers to reflect on their connections to family, nature, and heritage. This story time invites children and families to listen, reflect, and celebrate the beauty found in everyday moments and the traditions that shape who we are.
4:00 PM - 4:30 PM / Bracelet
Celebrate **Native American Heritage Month** by crafting your own colorful bracelet using a **cardboard loom**! During this hands-on activity, participants will learn simple weaving techniques to create beautiful string bracelets while exploring the artistry and meaning behind this traditional craft. In many Native American communities, weaving and bracelet-making represent unity and connection—the intertwining threads symbolize the bonds between people, the earth, and spirit. Join us for a creative session that honors heritage, craftsmanship, and community through color and design.
