Join this nationwide event to celebrate the awe and wonder found on the more than 570 national wildlife refuges across the country, including Seney National Wildlife Refuge! Saturday, October 18. Registration will begin at 9:30, Walk starts at 10:00 a.m. The walk is free and open to everyone. It’s a great opportunity to celebrate National Wildlife Refuge Week, connect with community in the great outdoors, and boost physical and mental well-being. A win-win-win! The walk will begin at the Northern Hardwoods trailhead on Robinson Street in Germfask, where walkers can choose a 5k adventure loop through a beautiful forest, or the more accessible Otter Run road route, which will take walkers, bicyclists, strollers over Upper Goose Pen Pool and along the edge of A Pool. This is a fun walk! The event is not timed, and there will be treats at the finish line. Feel free to Find Your Wild and dress like (or somehow represent) your favorite “wild thing”!
