Oktoberfest

Raise your stein and toast the spirit of Bavaria as Saugatuck/Douglas Community Pride once again hosts Oktoberfest! This inclusive community event, celebrated every October, brings our diverse community together for a day of fun, food, and festivities…and everyone is welcome!

• Community leaders inaugurate the festivities with the annual tradition of “Tapping the Keg.”
• Enjoy the lively tunes of Ein Prosit, an authentic German band from Kalamazoo as they set the perfect Oktoberfest mood.
• Experience the rich Bavarian culture with dance performances by Saugatuck’s very own Dance Asylum performers as they bring the heritage of Oktoberfest to life.
• Show off your strength and compete for awards in our exciting Keg Toss Competition.
• Choose from a variety of beers and ciders including Oktoberfest brews, lagers from Saugatuck Brewing, and more. Red and white wines from Modales Wines, vodka seltzers, hard ciders, and root beer will be offered for the non-beer drinkers
• Savor mouthwatering cuisine, including bratwursts, kraut, German potato salad, pretzels, and more.
• It wouldn't be a Douglas party without Thumpbox Music’s DJ John E spinning your favorite tunes and keeping the energy high.
