Raise a glass to Berrien County’s past with the BCHA in 2025 with our newly expanded “A Drink with History” series. Travel the county with us as we visit wineries, breweries, and distilleries with a host of historical experts to dive deep into specially curated topics. From the women who built and owned successful businesses to the stories of the House of David’s High Island, no matter your interest, there is something for everyone!
November is Native American History Month and we are delighted to partner with Dr. Blaire Morseau of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi. Dr. Morseau, a professor of American Indian and Indigenous Studies at Michigan State University, released the first comprehensive look at Simon Pokagon’s famous birch bark books. Placing them back in the context of history, Dr. Morseau will take guests on a journey of a man determined to save his people and his heritage in a world that wanted neither. General tickets are $50.00 and include appetizer bar, specially curated drink menu (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available), and a special discount on “As Sacred to Us: Simon’s Birch Bark Stories in Their Context” by Dr. Morseau with other items in our pop-up gift shop. Book tickets are $65.00 and include the book for a specially discounted price!
Spaces are limited and registration is required. Ticket sales open October 1 and will run through November 7th.
