Youth Concerto Competition winner, Paloma Chaprnka
Gustav Holst’s The Planets is one of the most popular orchestral works ever, shaping the sound of film music for generations. We’ll also feature several iconic selections from Stanley Kubrick’s groundbreaking 2001: A Space Odyssey, meant to represent the best of mankind in what was the future at the time of the film. Then, we’ll look ahead to the future of music itself with a performance by the winner of our concerto competition—Paloma Chaprnka—an exciting young musician you won’t want to miss!
