Wiener Ski 2026 returns to Shady Lane Cellars, 9580 E. Shady Lane, to help us beat the wintry temperatures. It includes free access to two freshly-groomed trails, just steps from the tasting room. Visitors can take the 5K loop for cross country skiing and hiking or choose a separate 1.5K trail made for snowshoeing on the estate winery’s property.
Guests are welcome to bring their own equipment or rent skis or snowshoes from Suttons Bay Bikes. Rentals will be arranged in advance. Beginning at Noon, Nik Basford of Leelanau Cheese company will be on site selling beer brats on a pretzel bun with sauerkraut, whole grain mustard and topped with melted raclette - while they last. Pair one with a tasting flight, mulled wine, s'mores or hot chocolate, all available for purchase.
Wiener Ski is a worthy reminder of all the ways to enjoy the Michigan outdoors this season.
