Mark your calendars because the U.P. 200, Midnight Run, & Jack Pine 30 Sled Dog Races are racing through Marquette, Alger, & Schoolcraft Counties, and back to Marquette, February 13, 14, & 15, 2026.
The corner of 4th Street & Washington Street is where the teams start the race. Mushers round the corner of Washington Street and Lakeshore Blvd, and eventually connecting to the Iron Ore Heritage Trail. UP 200 Sled teams follow the trail into Harvey/Chocolay Township and then reach various checkpoints between Marquette and Grand Marais, and return to Marquette at the Ojibwa Casino Sunday morning. Midnight Run teams follow the trail into Harvey/Chocolay Township and then reach various checkpoints between Marquette and Alger Counties before making their return to the Marquette Ojibwa Casino Saturday morning.
