All Things Equal - The Life and Trials of Ruth Bader Ginsburg - Grand Rapids, MI

All Things Equal: The Life and Trials of Ruth Bader Ginsburg is coming to Grand Rapids for a single afternoon performance at the DeVos Performance Hall on Sunday, February 7, 2027, at 3:00 PM.

Written by Tony Award-winning playwright Rupert Holmes and starring Michelle Azar as the iconic Supreme Court Justice, this captivating 90-minute, one-woman play offers an intimate and frequently funny portrait of RBG. The story follows her into her private chambers as she looks back on her legendary path:

• Overcoming the loss of her mother right before graduating high school.

• Blazing a trail as one of only nine female students at Harvard Law School while caring for a young daughter and helping her husband fight cancer.

• Arguing historic gender discrimination cases in front of condescending, entirely male courts throughout the 1970s.

• Standing firm as a courageous voice for human rights on a fractured and increasingly political Supreme Court bench.
