Dia de los Muertos

You are invited to join us for the 2nd annual Dia de los Muertos celebration on Saturday, November 1, 2025 in Downtown Alpena from 4-9 pm!

Join us for an evening of celebration, live music, food & drink specials, Catrina costume contest, and more at Northern Michigan's only Day of the Dead event.All activities take place in the Center Alley behind Mango's Tequila Bar (121 W Chisholm St).

The celebration begins at 4 pm with:

•  Catrina Costume Contest check-in (4-5 pm)
•  Facepainting for kids & adults
•  Ofrendas on display in the Center Alley & Pocket Park
• Catrina Costume Contest judging takes place at 5 pm, with a new this year Catrina parade throughout the alley for attendees to see all the beautiful costumes. Awards for best group, best individual, and best kids.
• Live mariachi music to follow until 9 pm (in case of inclement weather, band will move inside Mango's)
