The Justice 4 All Juneteenth Jam is a celebration of African American culture, and pays homage to Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, Jubilee Day, Liberation Day, and Emancipation Day. This holiday celebrates the emancipation of the African Americans citizens who had been enslaved in the United States of America. Dating back to 1865, it was on June 19th that the Union soldiers, led by Major General Gordon Granger, landed at Galveston, Texas with news that the Civil war had ended and that the enslaved were now free.
The Justice 4 All Juneteenth Jam is a direct result of my mission to challenge, and disrupt America's post racial fallacy by stimulating constructive, actionable, and necessary dialog through community engagement. The event served as a powerful testament to the vibrant tapestry of Black art, entertainment, culture, and history that defines our community. From insightful educational booths fostering meaningful discussions to captivating performances that resonated with the power of our heritage, the entire day pulses with an undeniable sense of unity and pride.
Come out and be apart of something truly unforgettable!
