Grand Rapids quartet Normal Mode crafts a distinctive "lo-fi space travel music" that blends jazz, electronic, rock, and funk with deep improvisation. The band has shared stages with Joe Hertler, performed at festivals like Earthworks, and held creative residencies at Midtown. Known for cosmic live experiencesincluding a performance at the Chaffee Planetariumtheir debut album Downlink earned WYCE Jammie nominations for Best Jazz Album and Song of the Year.
