The Olivier and Tony Award-winning hit Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical is coming to the Fisher Theatre in Detroit. As part of its highly anticipated North American tour, the production will run from Tuesday, January 12 through Sunday, January 24, 2027. Hailed as the best-reviewed show in West End history, this fast-paced British comedy musical tells the bizarre but true story of a secret World War II deception mission.
The year is 1943, and the Allies are losing the war. Desperate to turn the tide, they gamble their futures on an audacious plan involving a stolen corpse, fake love letters, and a brilliantly orchestrated lie to mislead Hitler. Described as Singin' in the Rain meets Hamilton, this fast-paced satire won the Olivier Award for Best New Musical and was named the #1 Broadway Show of 2025 by Entertainment Weekly.
