Fisherman’s Island State Park is located in Charlevoix, along the coast of Lake Michigan. Fisherman’s Island State Park contains a foot trail that wanders along the coast of Lake Michigan through the surrounding old dune and wooded area. The trail crosses McGeech Creek and through maple, birch, and aspen forest. The Northern Campground loop of the trail is open to mountain biking, while the Southern Campground Loop is closed to off-road biking. Since the trail is out-and-back style, the trail is approximately 6 miles to and from your starting location. The trail can be started at the Northern Campground or at the Day-use area near the Southern Campground.
