Creating a Forest for Birds

Join the American Bird Conservancy (ABC) and the Land Conservancy of West Michigan (LCWM) for a guided hike at Wege Foundation Natural Area. We will explore the preserve, learn about the Forestry for Michigan Birds program, and see how LCWM’s restoration work, with the support of the Michigan DNR’s Wildlife Habitat Grant Program, is creating a better forest for birds.

If you’re interested in learning more about how to make your own property a more hospitable environment for birds, what the process of habitat restoration looks like, or if you just love birding, we hope you can join us for this event! This event will happen rain or shine – please come dressed for the weather. Parking is available in the paved Wittenbach Wege Center parking lot. We will gather near the building and will hike into the preserve together.
