Join the Michigan Mandolin Orchestra in its 7th season with a unique spread of mandolin music.
The Orchestra delves into an arrangement of Schuberts Sonatina for Violin, Webers Der Freischutz and Vaughan Williams Rhosymedre. As always, there will be an offering of lighter pieces that include Italian folk classics. Another highlight of the show will be music director Brian Oberlin's arrangement of Calace's Danza Dei Nani and an original piece by orchestra member Bob Phillips. Listeners can expect
Oberlin to play a solo piece or two to tie the whole concert together. The performance will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 17 at The Playhouse at White Lake, 304 S. Mears Ave, Whitehall, MI, 49461. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased online at theplayhouseatwhitelake.org.
