Join the Tri-Cities Historical Museum in crafting our way through history! Ships are not only fun to ride on, they also play an important role in our local community! Do you know why? In this session, you will learn why and how to draw and color them! Participants will learn and try out the art process called 'resist', whereby a layer of india ink is applied over an oil pastel drawing. Rinsing the India ink off the paper creates an interesting effect. The subject of the oil pastel drawing will be shipping and the types of commercial ships found on the Great Lakes. Registration is $30 for a single child, and $20 per child for multiple children. There are separate sessions for kids grades 1-4 and 5-8.
