AllArtWorks - Ready's Return with Keyon Lovett

"Ready’s Return” is the highly anticipated sequel to "Ready for New York," bringing the artist Keyon Lovett and his signature character, Ready, back to Grand Rapids after a successful debut at Art Expo New York.

This homecoming exhibition at AllArtWorks revisits the journey that began with a local fundraiser—where Lovett sold 12x12 paintings to help fund his first national showcase.

Now, with new artwork in hand and stories to tell, Lovett returns to share the impact, growth, and grit it took to take Ready from Michigan streets to the heart of the New York art scene—and back again. This isn’t just a return. It’s proof that the vision was always Ready.

Keyon Lovett lives in Flint, MI, with his wife and 2 children. He lived in Grand Rapids for 12 years beginning in 2010. After dropping out of the Calder Arts Program at GVSU, he was awarded Top 25 in ArtPrize 9, and painted his first mural for DGRI in 2019, among many other artistic ventures.

AllArtWorks is a gallery and non-profit that is committed to year-round programming in Grand Rapids, with a new art show every Saturday night, as well as free weekly events for artists, the general public, and kids. AllArtWorks is focused on helping artists with business skills, artistic development, community, and opportunities to sell work - working with artists of all ages, demographics, and career levels.
