Boston Qualifying
course runs straight along the water, no hills to fight, just open shoreline and a smooth pathway the whole way. Start at the Terrace Bay Hotel and head north, tracing Little Bay de Noc the entire route. 10K runners turn around at VanCleve Park and head back to the finish. Half and full marathoners keep going through the park, along the boardwalk, up into the northern edge of Gladstone, then back down the pathway to the finish at Terrace Bay.
Flat courses mean fast splits, and this one's earned a reputation for it, runners come to MISH looking to qualify, and a lot of them leave with a new personal best.
USATF certified. Seven aid stations every 2 miles, stocked with water and Powerade. Six-hour time limit, walkers welcome.
Cross the finish and it doesn't stop there: race shirt, finisher medal, UP craft beer, a breakfast burrito, and fruit waiting for you.
