The Charlevoix Historical Society Museum is located in the Harsha House, a 1891 restored Queen Anne-style home which was donated to the society in 1979 by Ann Harsha. Rotating exhibits, photographs, documents, books and artifacts are just a few of the treasures found in the museum. Research facility available. Scheduled step on guided tours of the Earl Young Mushroom Houses and Historic Charlevoix, by appointment only.
The Harsha House received one of the Governor's Award for Historic Preservation in 2025.

Hobbits in Michigan!
Okay so there are hobbit houses in Charlevoix! I had heard of the stone houses of Charlevoix but Mushroom ones?!

Nice pleasant walk
It is pretty easy to do a self walking tour of the Mushroom Houses. It is mostly a walk in a triangle. You can download a map or I believe you can even purchase a guide from the local stores.
